Welcome to Camp Hill Kindy
Camp Hill Kindergarten and Preschool Association Inc. (“Camp Hill Kindy”) is a community-based, non-profit association, and is affiliated with the Creche and Kindergarten Association of Queensland (C&K).
Our partnership is built on a shared commitment to deliver the high-quality programs, relationships and inclusion all children deserve.
Together, we provide the highest standards of early childhood education, supporting children each year to learn, grow and thrive. We honour every child’s right to play, build on the learning they bring from home, and lay strong foundations for lifelong learning.
Camp Hill Kindy is managed by a Management Committee elected by the members (the families) annually.
Approved Kindergarten Program
At Camp Hill Kindy, our programs are designed to meet government guidelines to support children’s participation in quality early childhood education.
The play-based learning delivered as part of an approved kindergarten program supports each child’s identity, strengthens relationships, promotes wellbeing, and fosters confident and capable learners.

FAQs
How can we prepare before my child starts?
You’re encouraged to visit the centre, meet educators, and attend a small‑group play date. These visits help your child feel familiar with the environment. Talk to your child about what to expect.
What should we expect on the first day?
It’s normal for both you and your child to feel nervous. Educators will support you as you settle in. Some children separate quickly while others need more time. You can call after the first hour if you’d like an update
What helps my child settle on the first day?
Show them where their belongings go, reassure them you’ll return later, and allow extra time for a calm drop‑off. A few tears are common and educators will comfort your child.
What does the daily routine look like?
Children move flexibly between indoor and outdoor play, help tidy up, join group times for stories, music, language, movement or games, eat morning tea and lunch outdoors, and enjoy rest or quiet activities
What should my child wear and bring for play?
A sun-safe hat, sleeved shirt, and sunscreen applied at home are essential. Pack spare seasonal clothes and dress your child in comfortable, easy‑to‑manage clothing suitable for messy and active play.
What is next?
Starting Kindy is an exciting time for your child— it's the next step in their learning journey. Together, we can make the big move to Kindy feel smaller, helping your child start strong, feel confident and thrive in the new environment.
