Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach
Camp Hill Kindy follows C&K’s early childhood curriculum, Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach, and aligns with The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
Listening and Learning Together is built around five key ideas: Belonging, Connecting, Wellbeing, Exploring and Communicating. The EYLF, Australia’s national framework for early childhood education, is grounded in the view that children’s experiences are shaped by belonging, being and becoming. Similarly, the QKLG outlines learning and development areas that focus on Identity, Connectedness, Wellbeing, Active Learning and Communication.
Through this alignment, our program planning makes children’s learning visible and supports continuity between curriculum, assessment and practice.
Our curriculum places each child’s individual needs, strengths and interests at the centre of decision‑making. Educators engage in an ongoing planning cycle that involves observing, listening, documenting, reflecting and responding to children’s learning. This reflective process ensures that experiences are purposeful, inclusive and thoughtfully designed to extend children’s thinking and development.
Approved Kindergarten Program
Kindy is a part-time education program for children in the year before they start school. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to explore, play, and learn in a supportive environment. Through fun, play-based activities, children develop early learning skills, build confidence, and improve their overall wellbeing.
At Camp Hill Kindy, our programs are designed to meet Queensland Government guidelines to support children’s participation in quality early childhood education.

Director's Message
“From the moment you enrol your child at Camp Hill Kindy you will be welcomed into a wonderful, inclusive educational community. At Camp Hill Kindy we understand that nurturing children’s minds and bodies is a collaborative partnership between educators, children and families.
I have had the pleasure of being the co-director and teacher at Camp Hill Kindy for over 25 years. I am very proud of our beautiful natural environment, our well-resourced indoor learning spaces and our passionate, well-respected educators. Most importantly I am proud of the philosophy of our kindergarten, which has at its heart relationships and developing a sense of belonging.
Play based learning is an integral part of our education program which fosters children’s curiosity, creativity, independence, kindness and resilience. Through helping children build positive, respectful relationships we believe we are setting them up to be positive global citizens.
We take seriously our responsibility for caring and nurturing these young minds and we are grateful that you have entrusted us with your most precious children.”
